Now that you have an understanding of how the Australian Government is structured and works, it is now time for each nominee to explore persuasive techniques that are and can be used to help change people’s decision. A variety of learning experiences will be completed with the aim of incorporating deliberate persuasive techniques to make your voters want to vote for you. A persuasive speech will be the final chance for you to win votes in your election campaign.
Upload the following things to your blog:
- A vote for me poster
- A letter addressed to the principal explaining why you would make a good school captain.
- Your completed 3-5 minute persuasive speech.
Look forward to reviewing what you come up.

Who will be school captains in 2011?
Calling all year six students to nominate to be the leaders of your school!
The school body representative council will be regularly blogging to inform all nominees and interested parties the process in which needs to be taken to become school captain.
We will be using the same voting system as the Australian Government and will be having our own election campaign where each nominee will present a final speech.
This school is a democratic school!

We will be in touch soon, if you have any questions please ask your learning manager or post a comment.
